Applications open for Oklahoma Controlled Hunts

The wait is over for hunters eager to submit their entries for the Oklahoma Controlled Hunts program. The application period is open now and will run through May 20.

For hunters just tuning in, the Controlled Hunts program offers annual drawings for dozens of high-quality Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation- sanctioned hunts for deer, elk, antelope and turkey. Hunters can apply individually or in groups, and there are categories for youth and persons with disabilities.

Hopeful hunters can buy an extra preference point to add to their totals for each hunt category. While there is a standard number hunt choices that an applicant can make in each category, extra choices can be purchased as add-ons for $3 each (and there’s no limit to the number of hunt choices that can be added).

To apply, log into your Go Outdoors Oklahoma profile and select the “Controlled Hunts” tile.

For those who do not have an account, then just follow the link to sign up. You also can apply through the Go Outdoors Oklahoma mobile app. Open the app and select “Buy and Apply.” Submit your login credentials.
