Mrs. Parks’ seventh and eighth grade girls at Moffett School have spent the last several weeks making ribbon skirts in preparation for the school’s annual Cherokee Cultural Day. The school would like to thank the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC) for their generous donation of sewing machines and materials. These skirts couldn’t have been completed without the help of Carol Henson, Norene Soap Gramlich, Cordia Soap Koonce, and Janet Kirkpatrick Pickett. The students want to thank these special ladies for all of the time they spent investing in them.
