Members of the Roland Youth Wrestling League placed in each of their last two tournaments — the Brushy Christmas Brawl on Dec. 27 and last Saturday’s Rumble on the River at Gore Event Center.
In the Brushy Christmas Brawl, the boys team was eighth with 125.5 points and the girls finished 10th with 11 points.
Two members claimed Brushy Christmas Brawl championships — Ross Richards (age 6-and-younger, 49 pounds) and Kacen Copeland (open age 15-and-younger, 140).
Caden Davidson (open age 15-andyounger division, 155 pounds), Ripken Eubanks (open age 10-andyounger, heavyweight) and Griffey Eubanks (age 6-and-younger, 55) all had second-place finishes at the Brushy Christmas Brawl.
Montana Eubanks (girls age 15-andyounger, 117 pounds), Tommy Greschke (open age 15-and-younger, 112), Channing Davidson (open age 10-andyounger, heavyweight), Krew Schuetz (open age 10-and-younger, 110) and Bretley “Gage” Peters (open age 8-andyounger, 61) all finished third at Brushy, while Lux Martin-McGowan (girls age 8-and-younger division, 41-51 pounds) had a fourth-place finish.
At last Saturday’s Rumble on the River, Roland Youth League Wrestling finished with 100 points to place fifth in team standings.
Ripken Eubanks was the champion at 131 pounds in the open age 10-and-younger division, Channing Davidson was the heavyweight champion in the novice age 10-and-younger division and runner-up at heavyweight in the open age 10-and-younger division and Schuetz placed second at both 110 pounds in the open age 10-and-younger division and at 110 pounds in the open age 12-andyounger division.
Greschke (open age 15-and-younger division, 112 pounds), Copeland (open age 15-and-younger, 140) and Caden Davidson (open age 15-andyounger, 155) all were second.
Raider Foster (age 4-and-younger division, 45 pounds) was third, while Peters (novice age 8-and-younger, 61) and Griffey Eubanks (age 6-and-younger, 60) were both fourth.
