Graveside service for David “Roger” Beard, 82, of Muldrow, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Beard was born June 20, 1943, in Washington State to Opal Claydona (Owen) Beard and David Samuel Beard. He passed away on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.
He was a retired lineman for OG&E. He married Deanna (Rogers) Beard on June 23, 2018.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna; children, Randy Beard and Shelly Williams, both of Muldrow; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; step-children, Lanette Turpin and Rick, Ray Watts and Teresa, and Stan Watts and April, all of Muldrow; sister, Margaret Rybenski of St. Louis, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Beard; his parents; and brother, Paul Beard.
Pallbearers were A.J. Henshaw, Logan Beard, Randy Beard, Dan Frizzell, Stan Watts and Ray Watts.
