A Muldrow man was injured in a single-vehicle collision Friday evening in rural Sequoyah County, according to a collision report issued by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The crash occurred just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 26 on S. 4770 Road, about 207 feet north of E 1060 Road. Troopers reported that the vehicle departed the roadway to the right, struck a guide wire attached to a utility pole, and then came to rest in a ditch.
The driver, a 50-year-old man from Muldrow, sustained injuries in the collision. His name has not yet been released by authorities.
Two passengers were also reported to be in the vehicle at the time of the crash, one of whom was injured.
According to the report, seatbelts were not in use by all occupants of the vehicle.
The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Evan Koch #344 of OHP Troop C.
