Over 300 children came out last week for Santa pictures at the Muldrow Cherokee Community Organization (MCCO), according to MCCO Director Tashaa Harris. Harris said some kids absolutely loved the Grinch, while others were a little unsure or maybe very scared, but every reaction made the night even more special. She said the organization was able to give out coats and winter kits, and received smiles, laughter and excitement in return. “A huge thank you to Running Strong for American Indian Youth for donating all of the coats and winter kits,” Harris said. “Your generosity made this night possible and will help keep our kids warm this winter.” She also wished to thank everyone who came out, volunteered, helped and supported the event. “It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours,” she concluded.
