Graveside services for Helen Joyce (Gann) Phelan, 79, of Muldrow, was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Liberty Cemetery in Roland, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Phelan was born on Jan. 15, 1946, in Muldrow, to Jess and Jenny (Stimson) Gann. She passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She married William Phelan on April 26, 1964, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2019.
She worked at Baldor Electric for over 40 years, retiring in 2013. She loved camping, fishing, eating out with her sons and brothers, sitting under her carport watching birds and wildlife, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors are three sons, Darrell Phelan and Lisa of Muldrow, Roger Phelan of Grove and Michael Phelan and Lola Sevenstar of Muldrow; four grandchildren.; 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Gary Gann and Judy of Muldrow, Vic Gann of Muldrow, Danny Gann and Cynthia of Sallisaw, David Gann and Leona of Muldrow and Randy Gann and Brenda Nutter Day of Liberty; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jimmy Paul Gann and Harlan James Gann, Sr.
