Funereal services for Edna Earl (Slater) Reves, 89, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Church of Christ in Sallisaw. Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Reves was born on Jan. 12, 1936, in the Price’s Chapel community to Avis Earl (Cowling) Slater and Charles W. Slater. She passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025.
She married Bobby O’Neal Reves on May 17, 1957, in Roswell, N.M. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2014.
She worked as an auditor for the Department of Defense, bookkeeper for her husband’s business, and retired as a postmaster. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Sallisaw for 51 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Charlotte G. Reves of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son and daughter-in-law, David W. Reves and Jeannie; and sister, Eva E. Fulcher.
Pallbearers were Cana Hall, Raymond Mitchell, Elijah Winton, Drake Winton, Don Garrett and John Dodson.
Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Brackett, Larry Long, Bro. Royce Martin and Jimmy Dodson.
