Ronny Wayne Drain Sept. 16, 1947 – June 18, 2025 Funeral service for Ronny Wayne Drain, 77, of Ozark, Ark., were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark. Burial followed at 1 p.m. at the National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Mr. Drain was born on Sept. 16, 1947 in Russells Point, Ohio. He passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps (Vietnam veteran), and Air Force, devoting a combined 26 years to military service, having received numerous military honors throughout his career. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting firearms and exploring antique shops.
Survivors are two daughters, Rhonda Loggains and husband Travis of Akins and Teresa Plummer and husband Tim of Greenbrier, Ark.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, JD Drain.
Pallbearers were the Military Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Cox, Mike Ivy, Elvis Ball, Jim Parker and “Da Boys.”
