Private graveside services for Arliss Hunter Garner, 68, of Leesville, La., were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Garner was born on Oct. 10, 1956, in Sallisaw, to Harold Hunter Garner and Katie Lou (Battles) Garner. He died on Sunday, May 22, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
He was a JRTC Coordinator with Valiant Integrated Services and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He married Linda Mae Dewitt on June 4, 1999, in Dora, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Garner of the home; daughter, Tonya and Wayne McGee of Deridder, La.; two sons, Chad Brand and fiancé Amy Lovrecich of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nathan Brand of the home; sisters, Trawanna and Phillip Davis of Muldrow, Sue Gilbert of McKinney, Texas and Tammy Swon and Kelly of Oktaha; two brothers, Ricky Garner and Judy of Mountain Home, Ark., and Tony Garner and Teresa of Kibler, Ark.; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
