Betty Lou Plank

Jan. 18, 1938 – Feb. 19, 2025

Funeral services for Betty Lou Plank, 87, of Muldrow, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, at Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial followed at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Plank was born on Jan. 18, 1938 in Tuskegee, to Lucy Alva (Hatfield) Massey and Floyd Everett Massey. She passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark.

She was married to Bobby Jack Plank on Nov. 2, 1959, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1999.

She worked two jobs at a time most of her life. These included Muldrow Nutrition Center, St. Edwards Hospital, Fort Smith Courthouse, Peachtree Retirement Village, OK Foods, The Food Court at the mall, and almost 40 years at Dixie Cup. She loved to attend church and eat out.

Survivors are three daughters, Linda D. Blake, Pamela K. Plank and Whitley Plank, all of Muldrow; three sons, Randy, Roger and Jason C. Plank, all of Muldrow; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn S. Fultz and Kenny; brother, Jimmy Massey; and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby D. Plank; grandson, Josh Blake; five brothers, Bud, Floyd, Dennis, Wayne and Bobby Massey; and three sisters, Joyce Binkley, Rancy Hughes and Virginia Massey.

Pallbearers were Justin Plank, Jess Plank, Randall Plank, B.J. Nichols, Jaden Plank and Kaegen Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers were the men of Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
