Funeral services for Gary Wayne Hodgens, 70, of Roland, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow. Burial was at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodgens was born on June 24, 1954, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Jerome Hardy Hodgens Jr. and Edith Mae (Johnson) Hodgens. He died on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, in Roland.
He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, water skiing, hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening. He worked for 35 years as a pressman for Universal Packaging and Graphic Packaging.
He married Deborah Goines on Jan. 18, 1974, in Moffett.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hodgens of the home; one daughter, Carrie and Eric Hill of Van Buren, Ark.; one son, Colby Hodgens of San Francisco; two brothers, Hardy and Doris Hodgens of Uniontown, Ark., and Paul and Laura Hodgens of Van Buren; one granddaughter; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Paul Hodgens, Hardy Hodgens, Eric Hill, Randy Wilson, Bryan Smallwood, Keith Orendorff and Aaron Mowrey.
