Fay Hallum Prescott Sept. 19, 1930 – Dec. 20, 2024 Funeral services for Fay (Hallum) Prescott, 94, of Muldrow, were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with burial following at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Prescott was born on Sept. 19, 1930, in Muldrow, to Maud (Lee) Hallum and G.O. Hallum. She died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She married Jimmie Prescott on Aug. 8, 1959, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2013.
She was an active member of Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God Church, and served as a cafeteria stocker at Whirlpool for 15 years.
Survivors are three nieces, Joan Taylor and Brenda Johnson, both of Muldrow and Donna Shipley of Fort Smith; seven nephews, Randy Hallum and Liz, Mark Hallum and Jennifer, Eddie Huggins and LaRuth, Richard Huggins and Patricia, all of Muldrow, Kevin Furr of Fort Worth, Texas, and David Furr and Ian Prescott, both of Fort Smith; along with several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Sybil Hallum, Eula D. Huggins and Joyce Hallum; two brothers, Ray and Orban Hallum; three nieces, Deborah Hallum, Nadine Earp and Sally Kay Shamblin; and three nephews, Dwight Hallum, Johnny Taylor and Jerry Johnson.
Pallbearers were Eddie Huggins, Richard Huggins, Randy Hallum, Dennis Huggins, Darin Huggins, Jarrod Hallum and Jeremy Hallum.
Honorary pallbearers were her nephews.
