Dale George Gibbons, 91, died on Dec. 5, 2024. He was born on Dec. 2, 1933 in Muldrow, to Myrtle Gibbons, and Elmer Trosper.

Mr. Gibbons was a 1951 graduate of Santa Maria High School and served in the Korean War from 1951-55 as a medic and firefighter. He reached the rank of Corporal and received a Purple Heart for his bravery. He was a crane operator for Reynolds Metals, Co. for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Gibbons; daughter, Elaine VanMil (Tom); brother, Doyle Gibbons; two grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Douglas Gibbons; two sisters, Sheila Gibbons and Maude Jenkins; and brother, Don Gibbons.
