Funeral services for Audrey Smith, 89, of Muldrow, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at Hanson Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Smith was born on Sept. 20, 1935, to Timothy and Gayle Banning in Houston. She died on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, in Plaquemine, La.
She attended local schools in Houston and invested most of her career as a driver instructor and office clerk at Milby High School. After retirement, she moved to Muldrow with her husband, Drayton Smith. She enjoyed her cats, strawberry shakes, nature, scenic drives, sunrises and sunsets.
Survivors are four children, Debbie McCullough, Diana Crowson, Christine Gonzalez and Eddie Smith; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Drayton Smith; and three siblings, Barbara, Tim and Jackie.
