March 31, 1958 – July 9, 2024

Funeral services for Janet Needham, 66, of Liberty, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Liberty Assembly of God Church in Muldrow. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Needham was born on March 31, 1958, in Sandwich, Ill., to Juanita (Tucker) Koonce and Wilboughy Merle Koonce. She passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Sallisaw.

She was married to Terry Needham on Feb. 25, 1989, in Fort Smith, Ark.

She was a homemaker, farmer and member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors are husband, Terry of the home; one son, Christopher Fowler of Sallisaw; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Cathy Koonce and Scott Bradley of Fort Smith; two brothers, Johnny Koonce and Cordia of Maple and Calvin Koonce and Tammy of Fort Smith; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rain’e Fowler; parents; and one brother, James Koonce.

Pallbearers were Cody Adams, Channing Chronister, Dwight Keen, Joey Sport, Colt Weddle and Jesse Ortega.

Honorary pallbearers were the Liberty community and members of Fellowship Baptist Church.
