He worked as a truck driver for 20 years and was proud of his sobriety.
Survivors include the mother of his children, LeeAnn Thibodeaux; their children, Alexandria and wife Allison, Zane, Paige and Arthur; three grandchildren; his siblings, Michael, Leslie, Jessica and Mike; and grandmother, Nadine Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandfather, Arthur Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers were Zane Mathews, Arthur Mathews, Noah Benge and Michael Allen.
Graveside memorial services for Cameron Jacob Mathews, 46, of Vian and formerly of Nicut, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Old Seabolt Cemetery in Muldrow. Arrangements were under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Inc. of Sallisaw.
