Funeral services for Nekaita Nance, 55, of Muldrow, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw.

Burial was at Roselawn Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

She was born on July 6, 1968, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Waymon Lee Nance and Minnie Louise (Wilburn) Nance. She died on Monday, May 13, 2024, in Muldrow.

She was a former factory worker and of the Israelite Sabbath Keeper faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Tamesha Nance of Muldrow; her mother, of Muldrow; two sisters, Barbara Nance Rodriquez of Fort Smith and Danita Nance-Huff of Muldrow; one brother, Wayne and Brenda Nance of Fort Smith; one grandchild; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; two sisters, Danetta Sheppard and Tina Nance; and a grandson.
