Graveside services for Helen J. Fricks, 88, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs.. Fricks was born on Oct. 21, 1935, in Wallace, Kan., to Thelma (Messler) Allaman and George Toohey Allaman. She died on May 16, 2024.
She was married to Billy M. Fricks on July 15, 1955.
She worked as a hairdresser, and as a cook at Muldrow Middle School and then head cook. She was a member of Friends of the Library, MCCO, Cozy Quilters and the Red Hat Society. She loved to sew and was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors are a daughter, Sandra J. Fricks of Muldrow; son, Billy A. Fricks and Nina of Muldrow; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Allaman; brother, Dickey Allaman; sister-in-law, Pat Allaman; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Mickey Allaman, Buddy Allaman and Jimmy Allaman; and two nephews, Greg Allaman and TJ Allaman.
