She died on Friday, April 19, 2024.
She sang in the church choir and cherished spending time in the sun, making several trips to Hawaii. She was active with the Commission for the Blind, who helped her in her time of need.
Survivors are husband, Dominic M. Scatena; son, Dominic L. Scatena; mother-in-law, Maxine Scatena; brothers, Wayne Gillet and Jimmy Gillet; sisters, Margaret Teague, Patricia Climer, Diane Matthews and Evelyn Holt; along with numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; fatherin- law, Domenico J. Scatena; brothers, Phillip Gillet and Donald Gillet; and sisters, Mary Pohlemann and Joann McFarland.
Celebration of life services for Mollie Marlene (Gillet) Scatena, 66, of Roland, were held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Chapel in Sallisaw.
Mrs. Scatena was born on Sept. 5, 1957, in Bakersfield, Calif. to Willie Roy “Bill” Gillet and Elvira Gillet (Jones).
