Graveside services for Ted Murry Rogers, 93, of Bartlesville, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Rogers was born on July 24, 1930, in Mineral Springs, to James Rogers and Nettie (Rogers) Rogers. He died on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Claremore.
He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in December 1958. He was a school teacher for Nowata Public School System, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed gardening and dancing at the Senior Citizens Center.
He married Martha Joy Winton in 1967. She preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 1980.
Survivors include one son, John and Mary Jo Rogers of Nowata; stepdaughters, Joy and Gerald Ducote of Mountainburg, Ark., and Ro Mar and Roger Brunk of Roland; nine grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Jesse and George; and four sisters, Artie, Grace, Romie and Alta.
