Richard Patterson

Nov. 10, 1942 – April 13, 2024

Graveside memorial service for Richard Patterson, 81, of Muldrow, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, Ark.

Mr. Patterson was born on Nov. 10, 1942 in Fresno, Calif., to Garth and Lucille (DeLuca) Patterson. He died on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Fort Smith, Ark.

He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a retired truck driver.

Survivors are wife, Carol Patterson of the home; daughter, Rhonda Tomlinson (Tony) of Maud; son, Brad Patterson (Gina) of Alma, Ark.; step-daughter, Felicia Pritchett (Frank) of Muldrow; two stepsons, Donald Williams (Mindy) of Gravette, Ark., and Edward Williams (Ashley) of Bella Vista, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 54 years, Barbara Ann Patterson; and brother, Garth Patterson.
