Graveside service for Debra Dianne James McDonald, 69, of Muldrow, was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. McDonald was born on Jan. 7, 1955, in Garberville, Calif., to Hampton Daniel and Betty Jo Deaton James.
She died on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Tahlequah.
She was a 1973 graduate of Panama Schools and formerly worked as a waitress, at American Foundry, Fort Chaffee’s Migration and Naturalization Department, and Whilrpool. She was also a cook at Muldrow Schools for many years, a baby sitter and enjoyed working at Patterson’s Grocery.
She was a member of the Muldrow Nazarene Church for many years where she once taught Sunday School.
Survivors are husband, Wayne of Muldrow; daughter, Paula K. Scott and husband Donald of Booneville, Ark.; son, Timothy W. McDonald of Muldrow; siblings, Beverly Killian and husband Harry of Shady Point, Gary James of Shady Point, Danny James of Panama, Janie Sims of Shady Point and Bryan Keith James and wife Erin of Durant; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa McDonald; grandparents, Cornelius James and Maxine James; nephew, Johnny James; uncle, Dale James; and aunt, Betty James.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muldrow Nazarene Church or by adopting a rescue animal.
