Funeral services for Jerry Jackson Walters, 86, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.

Burial followed at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1937, to Elsie Irene (Seratt) Walters and Euil Jack Walters. He died on March 18, 2024, in Roland.

He was married to Betty Jean Smith. She preceded him in death on June 2, 2023.

He was a brick layer, block layer, truck driver and bait shop owner.

Survivors are one daughter, Debra Looper of Roland; one son, Dennis Garrett of Muldrow; six grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy McAllister and Donna Butcher, both of Muldrow; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by parents; one son, Mark Walters; and a daughter, Cynthia Phillips.

Pallbearers were Jeremiah Phillips, Shane Allen, Jerry Prewett, James Smith, Riley Smith, Tony Smith, and Buzz Smith.
