July 20, 1944 – March 3, 2024

Doyle Burruss, 79, of Muldrow, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Muldrow He was born on July 20, 1944, in Santa Cruz, Calif., to James Earnie Burruss and Cora Joan (Wall) Burruss. No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

He was a jack-of-all-trades, including working as a barber, dry waller, auto mechanic and home repair contractor.

He married Nelda Kay Willis on June 22,1963, in Kelseyville, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda Burruss of the home; one daughter, Kelley Padgette of Muldrow; two sons, Kris Burruss of North Carolina and Brian Burruss of Fort Smith, Ark.; six grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary and Naomi; and two brothers, Ivan and Vernon.
