Jerry Sam Gilbreath

Sept. 25, 1941 – Feb. 25, 2024

Funeral services for Jerry Sam Gilbreath, 82, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at the Assembly of God Church in Vian.

Burial was at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mr. Gilbreath was born on Sept. 25, 1941, in Oakland, Calif., to Samuel Marion Gilbreath and Myrtle Mae (Thomason) Gilbreath. He died on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, in Vian.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and of the Assembly God faith. He was a control room and water treatment supervisor for Sequoyah Fuels, a member of Sallisaw Masonic Lodge 120 and a third degree Master Mason for over 40 years.

He married Joyce Milligan on June 18, 1968, in Stilwell.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Gilbreath of the home; two daughters, Sherry and David Buttery of Box and Tammy and Robert Hailey of Wagoner; three sons, Mike and Ginger Gilbreath of Grove, and Tommy Sam Gilbreath and Jerry Gilbreath Jr.. and Makayla all of Vian; two sisters, Linda and Henry Isham of Vian and Gail and Charlie Beller of Muldrow; 19 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jolene Hunt; one sister, Tammy Pierce; and one brother, Jack Gilbreath.

Pallbearers were Seth Gilbreath, Bryce Gilbreath, Carlos Rautenberg, Chad Duke, Kyle Gentry and Steven Buttery.
