Funeral services for Theodore Ralph “Ted” Wampach, 83, of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Wampach was born on Sept. 17, 1940, in Aurora, Ill., to Josephine Antoinette (Tarvid) York and Ralph Charles Wampach. He died on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, in Sallisaw.
He was married to Ruth Anne Kyle on June 20, 1964.
He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 46 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth Anne Wampach of the home; two daughters, Melinda L. Martin and Eddie of Sallisaw and Edith A. Singer of Clarmore; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Margie Faires of Sugarland, Texas, Gayle Longwell of Hondo, Texas, Roger Wampach and Jeanette of Kaneville, Ill., Jody York of Wills Point, Texas and Peter York and Lydia of Dallas; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Diana Drake.
Pallbearers were Eddie Martin, Kyle Martin-Mc-Gowan, J.D. Singer, Matthew Singer, David Martin, Drew Martin and Paul Poindexter.
