Funeral services for Jackie Eugene Jeremiah, 87, of Liberty, were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Services, Inc.
Mr. Jeremiah was born on July 16, 1936, in Liberty, to Claude Earl and James Margret (Rogers) Jeremiah. He died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024.
He was employed by Meade Containers, the owner of Jackie’s Furniture, and a founding member of the Liberty Fire Department, where he served for 21 years. He also played a vital role in the expansion of the Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Ima Jean (Tabor) Jeremiah; daughters, Debie Pixley and Kennith of Rudy, Ark., Lita Pschier and Derrick of Liberty, and Monica Hulse and Mike of Rudy; sons, Jackie K. Jeremiah and Blaine Jeremiah of Liberty; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria S. Colvin of Hesperia, Calif.; brother, Larry Jeremiah of Roland; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Glen, Fay, Clayton, Harold, Nelson, Dorman and Lin; one sister, Novella Pittman; and a daughter-in -law, Charleen Dees.
Pallbearers were Josh Denny, Tylar Jeremiah, Konner Lewis, Chipper Jeremiah, Joe Southern and Les Carter.
Honorary pallbearers were Kennith Pixley, Mike Hulse, Derrick Pschier and Doz Lewis.
