Funeral services for Jimmy Odus Vessell, 84, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
Mr. Vessell was born on Oct. 14, 1939, to Opal Vera (Duvall) Vessell and James Odus Vessell. He died on Wednesday, Jan.10, 2024, in Sallisaw.
He was a Christian and ready to enter into his eternal home.
Survivors are three daughters, Drena Nix (husband Alan) of Buckner, Ark., Dusene Gracie of Hot Springs, Ark., and Darla Willis of Canon City, Colo.; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Carol Falleur of Muldrow and Shirley Goodwin of Owasso; the mother of his children, Judy Vessell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Muriel Hallum; one brother, Bobby Vessell; and one granddaughter, Candace Nix McDaniel.
