Funeral services for Margie Ruth (Jordan) Ryan, 92, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial followed at Redland Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Ryan was born on Aug. 17, 1931, in Redland, to Ruby (Noel) Jordan and John Jordan. She died on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, in Barling, Ark.
She was married to R.V. “Tanner” Ryan on Aug. 21, 1953, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2004.
She was a 1949 Gans High School graduate, a Christian, and helped her sister, Peggy, operate the Pie Parlor in Muldrow.
Survivors are three daughters, Lynn Mosier and Danny of Las Vegas, Susan Vest and Kenny of Muldrow and Myra Sparkman and Terry of Muldrow; two sons, Archer Ryan and Tracy of Muldrow and Joe Ryan and Shelia of Van Buren, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, JC Jordan of Fort Smith; one sister, Peggy Richards and Bert of Roland; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, JR Jordan and JD Jordan; and one sister, Jean England.
