Mass of Christian burial for Colin Leon Fitzsimmons, 64, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at Saint Rose Catholic Church under the direction of Colver Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Valley View Cemetery.
Mr. Fitzsimmons was born on May 30, 1959, in Casper, Wyo. He died on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, in Torrington, Wyo.
He grew up in Sallisaw, was a carpenter by trade for 40-plus years building homes, designing and assembling his own furniture, and custom cabinetry. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology at Welch College in Gallatin Tenn., owning and operating his own businesses, and teaching Adult Religious Education classes. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and being the biggest OU Sooner’s fan.
He was married to Gloria Prado-Fitzsimmons on June 16, 2001.
Survivors are his wife, Gloria Prado-Fitzsimmons; father, Leon (Judy) Fitsimmons; brother, Kelly (Terrie) Fitzsimmons; sister, Nina (Mike) Hamilton; sons, Simon Munoz and Dante Munoz; daughters, Heather Kennemer and Tiffany Carter; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his biological mother, Goldie Connor; and the aunt and uncle who raised him, Lois and Arvil England.
