Muldrow – Funeral services for Leroy A. Taylor, 93 of Muldrow, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.

Burial followed at Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Taylor was born on Dec. 14, 1929, in Gans, to Elsie Lee (Powell) Taylor and Roy Thomas Taylor. He died on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.

He was married to Wally Lou Horton on Aug. 24, 1958, in Muldrow.

Mr. Taylor was a retired educator at Gans, Lone Oak and Liberty Public Schools for over 30 years. He was a cattle rancher and U.S. Air Force Veteran of Korean Conflict. He was very active in the local, state and national democratic party. He was an avid fisherman and member of Muldrow Church of Christ.

Survivors are his wife, of the home; one daughter, Kayla L. Taylor of Dallas; two sons, Craig H. Taylor and Bernice of Muldrow and A. Lealon Taylor of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Nita Lewis of Muldrow; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Fred Taylor.

Pallbearers were Roger Sharp, Jeff Ransom, Lance Harvell, Craig Taylor, Lealon Taylor, Steve Russell, Wayne Powell and Randy Winstead.

Honorary pallbearers were A.J. Henshaw and Phillip Henson.
