Liberty – Funeral service for Issac James Townsend, 23, of the Liberty community, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, under the the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Muldrow.
Mr. Townsend was born on June 20, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. to James Aaron Townsend and Stephanie Elaine (Atkins) Bailey. He died on Nov. 28, 2023, in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was a maintenance worker at Walmart. Survivors are his parents, Stephanie and Clay Bailey of the home and James and Della Townsend of Heavener; siblings, Esme Collins of Denver, Colo., Marlena Saldana of Greenwood, Ark. and Jacob Bailey of Van Buren, Ark.; grandparents, Norene and Frank Gramlich of Fort Smith, Elaine Atkins of Liberty, and Linda and David Bailey of Midland, Ark.; uncles, Johnny Townsend of Muldrow, Jerry Atkins and Donnie Atkins, both of Liberty, Cole Bailey of Rogers, Ark. and Craig Bailey of Midland; great aunts, Steve and Willie Chism of Van Buren, Cordia and Johnny Koonce of Muldrow and Deborah J. Soap of Norman; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Arkins Sr. and John H. Townsend.
