Liberty – Funeral services for Ronnie D. Dean, 79, of Liberty will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Roland Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. of Muldrow.
Mr. Dean was born on Feb. 26, 1944, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Doyle Dean and Bonnie Irene (Gunter) Dean. He died on Nov. 24, 2023, in Muldrow.
He was an Agriculture teacher at Alma Public Schools for 38 years. He also ran cow and calf operations, and a stocker operation. He loved to go dancing and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors are a daughter, Kristi Dean Watson and Billy Don of Rudy, Ark.; one son, Ronnie Dale Dean of Roland; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lajuana Russell and Stan of Liberty; two brothers, Roger Dean and Dianne of Liberty, and Robert Dean and Debbie of Muldrow; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Remington Dean, Wesley Dean, Dakota Dean, Ryan Dean, Colton Howard and Remington Watson.
Honorary pallbearers will be former FFA students.
