Muldrow – Graveside services for James M. Hickman, 76, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Hickman was born on Aug. 9, 1947, in Shreveport, La., to Etta (Fields) Hickman and Clarence Manuel Hickman. He died on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, in Booneville, Ark.
He was married to Patricia Fields on April 11, 2008, in Marble City.
He formerly worked at Riverside and was a member of Muldrow Church of God. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping. Survivors are his wife, Patricia Hickman of the home; one son, John and Melinda Hickman of Muldrow; one step-son, Shaun and Tammera Rhodes of Muskogee; one step-daughter, Lisa and Raymond Talbert of Wellsville, Ohio; two sisters, Betty Costelow of Henryetta and Mary Gamble of North Carolina; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Clarence, John and John Charles.
Pallbearers were Larry Apker, John Hickman, Shaun Rhodes, Michael Rhodes, Frank Knight and Chris Willett.
