Parsons, Kan. – Graveside services for Robert Earl Byrd, 61, of Parsons, Kan., were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Gans Cemetery under the direction of Carson-Wall Funeral Services.
Mr. Byrd was born on March 4, 1962, in Harrison, Ark., to John Henry and Gladys Lucille (Haney) Byrd. He died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, in Parsons.
He enjoyed listening to country music, dancing, and driving fast cars, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children Heather and Jack Rhoads, Stephanie Long, Tiffany and Luke Thompson, Jason Byrd, Joshua Byrd, Donald Byrd and Anna Byrd; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; seven sisters and three brothers, Angela and David Parker of Bella Vista, Ark., Johnny (Bud) Byrd of Osage, Ark., Mary and Denver Collins of Piercetown, Ark., Elmer and Maria Byrd of Webb City, Ark., James Floyd Byrd, Parsons, Patty Byrd (Leroy Warner) of Mabelvale, Ark., Margaret and Larry Buffington of Parsons, Donna Mills (David Haney), Parsons, Beverly Tate, Parsons, Racheal Reasoner (Joe Callopeck), Parsons; and other friends and relatives.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Gladys L. Byrd and Johnny Henry Byrd; his wife, Rebecca Byrd; and one brother, Chester Leroy Byrd
