Funeral services for Arlena Camilla Winters, 94, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Milltown, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Mrs. Winters was born on Dec. 2, 1928, in Milltown, Ark., to Morris and Euia Gipson. She died on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023.

She was of the Baptist faith and a proud Eastern Star member, serving as Worthy Matron. In her younger years, she rode horses and carried the flag for the Fort Smith Rodeo. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting.

Survivors are a daughter, Donna Treadaway; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 16 years, Jim Winters; brothers, Deward Gipson, Paul Gipson, Arel R. Gipson and Willard Gipson; sisters, Retha M. Barnes, Oleta Wingfield, Artonia Farrar, Pauline Horton, and Grace Davis, and daughter Louetta Pate.
