Roland – A funeral Mass for Evelia (Ramirez) Hernandez, 50, of Roland, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Ark. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow.

Burial was at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hernandez was born on Nov. 13, 1972, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Claudio Ramirez and Celia Hernandez. She died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, in Fort Smith.

She was a production worker at Twin Rivers and of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her husband, Leo Hernandez of the home; one son, Leo Antonio and Briana Hernandez of Roland; three daughters, Ebelia Ramirez Hernandez and Michael Curtis of Paris, Ark., Claudia Ivette Ramirez Hernandez of Van Buren, Ark., and Brizza Virgen Hernandez of Roland; her mother, of Fort Smith; one sister, Laura Ramirez of Fort Smith; four grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Jesse Hernandez; and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers were Gerardo Moreno, Tyler Morris, Jessie Ruiz, Alisha Lopez, Isaihs Torrez and Pedro Hernandez.
