Resignations were reportedly received and accepted from Crystal Cole, Brandon Luttrell, Erin Rhodes and Gunner Snow; while temporary contracts were approved for David Thomas as Muldrow High School Assistant Principal, Carissa Campbell as an Elementary School teacher, and Tanner Ryan as a Middle School Science teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.
Temporary contracts of employment of non-certified school personnel was approved for Caleb Armer, Sarah Landers, Briana Newby and Brenda Wells as paraprofessionals, and Durhonda White as a custodian.
A salary schedule was also approved for the 2022- 2023 school year, along with changes for the District. The Return to School Plan was approved to accommodate requirements for ESSER III funding.
General Fund (GF) encumbrances No. 553 to 601 for $70,336.64 and Building Fund encumbrances No. 11 to 12 in the amount of $9,000 were all approved by the board, as well as 2021-2022 GF payroll encumbrances No. 50188 to 50189 for $581.31.
Following a motion from board member Chad Sutton, the board voted to renew contracts and memberships for the 2022-2023 school year with Oklahoma School Assurance Group as the School District’s workers compensation provider; OPSUCA as the District’s unemployment provider; Apptegy as the school’s website provider; membership with Oklahoma School Advisory Council; with Junior Achievement of Oklahoma, Inc. to allow the sixth grade to participate in JA Biz Town; and with Oklahoma School Insurance Group for the District’s property insurance coverage.
School Superintendent Clifta Fugett, during her report, discussed legislation for the 2022- 2023 school year, end of year attendance report, expenditures/revenue for the current year, and school safety.
Fugett was also approved as Muldrow Public Schools’ purchasing agent for all Federal Programs, which includes E-rate, child nutrition, designated custodian for the GF, building fund, child nutrition fund, bond and activity fund, as well as all state programs, and all other school programs and activities not listed for the 2023-2023 school year.
The board members also unanimously agreed to approve entering into a participation agreement with the Oklahoma State Department of Education Public Consulting Group and Muldrow School for Medicaid billing for the next school year, the removal of the 2016-2017 school records with permission to destroy them, and the transfer of petty cash monies and Driver’s Education monies from the Activity Fund to the General Fund.
