Moffett Public School sixth–eighth grade 4-H students recently joined their SWAT team at the Sequoyah County Rural Schools Wellness Event. Students participated in Cherokee Marbles (Physical Activity), Rethink Your Drink (Nutrition), Stretching for Stress Relief (Physical/Mental Health), Dirt Babies (Agriculture/Nutrition), and Mr. Gross Mouth (Tobacco/Vaping Prevention). They played Wellness Trivia Challenge and learned to make corn bead necklaces/ bracelets (Cultural Craft). The school would like to thank their sponsors: Cherokee Nation Public Health, TSET Living Program, OSU Extension Community Health, People Inc., and the Sequoyah County Health Department for a fun-filled day.
