Former Muldrow softball player Danica Tune and the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M softball team split their road doubleheader on April 13 at Kansas City (Kan.) Community College as the Lady Norse took the nightcap 7-0 after losing the opener 2-0.
In the nightcap, Tune doubled with two runs batted in, while going hitless in three at-bats in the opener.
Last Thursday in Wilburton, the Lady Norse suffered a road twinbill loss to former Vian player Maisie wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers by scores of 11-0 in six innings in the opener and 8-2 in the nightcap.
In Game 1 against Eastern, Tune singled, while she singled and scored once in the second game.
The Lady Norse (2117), who were slated to play a road doubleheader on Monday at Connors State College in Warner, will entertain Seminole State College for a 2 p.m. Thursday twin bill at Eric Iverson Field in Miami before traveling to meet the Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa Lady Mavericks for a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday in Tonkawa.
