The Gans Grizzlies baseball team suffered a loss in its only game played last week, falling 22-0 in three innings to the Keota Lions on April 14 at home.
The Lions, who led 1-0 after an inning, put away the game with a 13-run second inning for a 14-0 lead. An eight-run third inning put the game into runrule status.
In defeat, Jaxon Ragsdale got the only hit for the Grizzlies (0-9).
Phoenix Xiong (0-3) took the loss, going two innings. Jasper Green got the final three outs, one of which was by strikeout.
The Grizzlies, who were slated to end the regular season with a home game Monday against Kinta, will begin postseason play Thursday at the Class B District Tournament at Battiest, where they will meet Bokoshe noon, then the loser will play host Battiest at 2 p.m. Then, the Gans-Bokoshe winner will play Battiest at 4 p.m. Only the district champion will advance to next week’s Class B Regional Tournament.
