Rodney Geary Butts

Aug. 24, 1951 – April 18, 2025

Memorial services for Rodney Geary Butts, 73, were held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle in Fort Smith, Ark.

Cremation was under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Butts was born on Aug. 24, 1951, in Northville, Mich., to Jerome Lovette and Mary Louise Butts. He passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, in Muldrow.

He started a welding business from his home in Broken Arrow, which transformed into an ornamental iron company known as Iron Décor. In 2011, he made the decision to relocate to Muldrow, to be closer to Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle, where he had been a member since 2002.

Survivors are his children, Julie Butts, Brian Butts and Brandy Butts; three grandchildren; stepchildren, Barry Crowell and Cynthia Bouakadakis; three step-grandchildren; siblings, Ronnie Butts, John Butts, Tim Butts, and Dennette Pruitt; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jerome Butts, Kenneth Butts and Karen Pruitt.
