Central hurdler, Roland shot put thrower win titles at Checotah Invitational

CHECOTAH — Central’s 300-meter hurdler Braxin Goodson and Roland’s shot put thrower Dalton Crossno each won titles at the Checotah Invitational, which took place April 17 at Ogle Field.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Goodson won with a time of 42.33 seconds, with Roland’s Jack Johnson finishing 12th (46.77 seconds).

Crossno got the gold medal in the shot put with a winning throw of 46-8.

In the girls’ 800-meter relay, Central’s Paris Campbell, Alyvia Warner, Keeley Poindexter and Cambree Bair were fifth (1:56.17).

Roland’s Molly Carver was runner-up in the 3,200-meter run (12:50.87) and was fourth in the 1,600-meter run (6:04.32).

The Central Tigers’ mile relay team of Jake Woods, Gavin Randolph, Noah Buzzard and Goodson was second (3:39), while the same four relay legs were 11th in the 800-meter relay (1:38.15).

Central’s Charlie Petree was runner-up in the shot put (33-11) and seventh in the discus (91-2).

In the girls’ 300-meter hurdles, Warner was third (49.41 seconds) and Central’s Alexxus Bolin was 17th (58.07), while Central’s foursome of Warner, Campbell, Jhaselyn Gonzalez and Bair was fourth (4:32.43).

Roland’s Landon Killer was fourth in the 800-meter run (2:15), while Roland’s Braxton Prewett (111-4) in the discus.

Roland’s Adriana Moya was fourth (1:06.33), Central’s Kaitlin Clark was 20th (1:13.24), Central’s Scarlett Harrison was 26th (1:15.62), Central’s Ryleigh Pierce was 31st (1:17.24) and Roland’s Madi Whisenant was 34th (1:18.33) in the 400-meter dash.

Randolph was fifth (52.36), Roland’s Mason Kemp was 13th (57.25), Central’s Aiden Cawhorn was 22nd (58.57), Roland’s Josh Bower was 24th (59.15), Central’s Aidan Sainer was 31st (1:01.12) and Gans’ Quirt Ward was 45th (1:07.56) in the 400-meter dash.

On the girls’ 3,200-meter relay, Central’s Campbell, Harrison, Ryleigh Pierce and Bair were fifth (11:36.76).

Roland’s Uriah Phillips, Trevor Lasiter, Nate Criswell and Paul Johnson was fifth in the 400-meter relay (45.31 seconds), while the Rangers’ two-mile relay team of Kemp, Bower, Damonte Owens and Killer was sixth (9:15.76).

Central’s foursome of Gonzalez, Kinly Lovell, Poindexter and Clark was seventh in the 400-meter relay (56.52 seconds).

Paul Johnson was seventh (11.89 seconds), Lasiter was 11th (12.04), Sainer was 22nd (12.34), Damonte Owens was 29th (12.55) and Central’s Brycen Chandler-Eisman was 50th (13.24) in the 100-meter dash.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Warner was seventh (18.74 seconds), while Bolin was 11th (19.59).

In the boys’ 200-meter dash, Goodson was 10th (23.87 seconds), Roland’s Aden Sutton was 14th (24.36), Roland’s Daxton Owens was 44th (26.87), Chandler-Eisman was 45th (26.89) and Gans’ Dalton Scott was 55th (28.3).

Moya was 10th (29.25 seconds), Clark was 16th (29.98), Roland’s Mira Reagan was 17th (30.06), Poindexter was 21st (30.28), Lovell was 27th (30.96) and Roland’s Aita Ndoye Diene was 47th (36.55) in the 200-meter dash.

Roland Uriah Phillips, Trevor Lasiter, Aden Sutton and Paul Johnson were sixth (1:36.69) in the 800-meter relay.

In the girls’ 100-meter dash, Moya was 12th (13.93), Reagan was 14th (14 seconds flat), Clark was 20th (14.22), Gonzalez was 23rd (14.35) and Lovell was 30th (14.56).

Roland’s Billy McElhaney was 13th (20.37seconds) and teammate Blake Ryder 1was 17th (20.92) in the 110-meter hurdles.

In team standings on the girls’ side, the Lady Tigers were seventh (30 points) and the Lady Rangers were 10th (16).

The Tigers were ninth (28 points) and the Rangers were 10th (22) and the Pirates were 14th (15).
