Have you noticed how beautiful the flags are at the Sallisaw Cemetery? The American Legion Carney Welch Post 27 has taken it upon themselves to honor the gravesites of our veterans by placing these flags upon them.

If you’d like to honor a veteran at the cemetery with a flag, you can contact Mike Muzak’s at 479-420-4141, message the Post’s Facebook page, or email americanlegionoklahoma-post27@ gmail.com.

The Post will send you a flag agreement and when it is returned with the initial installation fee of $50, a flag will be put up for you. In January of each year, the Post will send out a $40 bill for maintenance fees.

All flags will be maintained and replaced as necessary throughout the year, and they will fly year-round.
