Betty Jo Gage Thompson

Oct. 6, 1935 – March 26, 2025

Funeral services for Betty Jo Gage Thompson, 89, of Roland, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Roland Pentecostal Church.

Burial followed at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Thompson was born on Oct. 6, 1935, in Waldron, Ark., to Iva Mae (Maxell) Watts and William Henry Watts. She passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Roland.

She owned and operated Gold Mark Jewelry and also worked at Riverside Furniture.

Survivors are one daughter, Nancy Dewitt of Roland; four sons, Robert Efurd and Susan of Chelsea, John Efurd and Patricia Bear of Oklahoma, Larry Efurd and Susan of Van Buren, Ark., and Richard Gage and Crystal of Roland; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Georgia Mae, Mary, Retha, Josephine, and Lettie; and one brother, Johnny.

Pallbearers were Brad Tucker, Jade Blode, Jacklynn Burell, Ricky Efurd, John Burell, Kelly Heavener and Spencer Dewitt.
