Gans powerlifter places sixth at 8-Man State Meet

SHAWNEE — Gans Grizzlies powerlifter Anthony Vasquez placed sixth at the 2025 8-Man State Meet, which took place Feb. 11 after being moved from its original date of last Wednesday due to threatening weather conditions.

Vasquez missed by five pounds in placing fifth, the final spot to earn a medal, and 15 pounds from finishing fourth.

Vasquez, along with the Muldrow Bulldogs, Roland Rangers and Lady Rangers, will next compete in the Iron Hog Classic, which will take place Friday in Panama.
