Candidates file for municipal offices

Several individuals submitted their Declarations of Candidacy for municipal offices in Sequoyah County during the filing period, Feb. 3-5. The Municipal General Election will be held on Tuesday, April 1.

Declarations of Candidacy were accepted for the following offices:

• Town of Gore, Ward 2 (four-year term): Shawn L. Cowart, 48, Gore and Robin Henry, 63, Gore.

• Town of Gore, Ward 4 (four-year term): Joni Couch, 46, Gore.

• Town of Gore, Ward 5 (two-year term unexpired): Randy Foley, 55, Gore.

• Town of Muldrow, Ward 1 (two-year term unexpired): Russell Davis, 71, Muldrow; Luke Cox, 43, Muldrow; and Shawn Hope, 50, Muldrow.

• Town of Muldrow, Ward 2 (four-year term): Carlos Martin, 36, Muldrow and Stephen Michael, 73, Muldrow.

• Town of Muldrow, Ward 4 (four-year term): Catherine Jones, 81, Muldrow.

• Town of Muldrow, Clerk/ Treasurer (four-year term): Larry Edwards, 74, Muldrow.

• Town of Paradise Hill, Board of Trustee seat (two-year unexpired term): Brian Smith, 65, Gore.

• Town of Paradise Hill, Three Board of Trustee seats (four-year terms): Carol Heinen, 63, Gore; Dan Heinen, 71, Gore; and Scot M. Davis, 59, Paradise Hill.

• Town of Paradise Hill, Clerk/Treasurer (four-year term): Tomi Storm, 61, Gore.

• Town of Roland, Ward 1 (two-year unexpired term): Andrea Byrd, 47, Roland and Fran Whitsitt, 75, Roland.

• Town of Roland, Ward 2 (four-year term): Angela McCormick, 41, Roland; Jason L. Riggs, 52, Roland; and Lyle Parman, 55, Roland.

• Town of Roland, Ward 4 (four-year term): Dean Myers, 58, Roland and Jerrad Myers, 41, Roland.

• Town of Vian, Two Board of Trustee seats (four-year terms): Shane Kolbe, 38, Vian and Dennis Fletcher, 49, Vian.

• Town of Vian, Clerk/ Treasurer (four-year term): Jennifer Sissom, 52, Vian.
