Gordon Dean Nichols Jr., 49, of Sallisaw, passed away on January 28, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Feb. 11, 1975, in Yuba City, Calif. to Margie Marie (Morton) Whitfield and Gordon Dean Nichols Sr.
Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was employed as a truck driver. He was married to Shannon (Cartwright) Nichols on Dec. 16, 2021, in Alma, Ark.
Survivors are his wife, Shannon; eight children, Chance Gagliano and Koey of Alma, Ark., Tommy McGeehee and Brittany of Norfolk, Va., Cody Gagliano and Shylow of Mount Belvieu, Tex., Shyann Robbins and Lonnie of Fort Smith, Gordon Nichols, III of Mount Belvieu, Scarlette Nichols of Van Buren, Cheyenne Ferguson and Blayde of Gore, and Jaycee Hanshew of Sallisaw; 15 grandchildren; four sisters, Melissa Cummins and Lester of Van Buren, Doris Jones and Bill of Cedarville, Ark., Susan Garrett and Rodney of Olive Hurst, Calif. and Pamela Nichols of Yuba City, Calif.; three brothers, Dewayne Nichols and Kay of Arlington, Tex., David Nichols of Sutter, Calif. and Donnie Garrett and Becky of Van Buren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Denny R. Garrett and Michael D. Nichols.
