Funeral services for Eric Lasiter, 55, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Lasiter was born on Aug. 28, 1969, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Brenda Rose (Haddox) Lasiter and James Henry Lasiter. He passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, in Tulsa.
He worked many years as a Fort Smith police officer, where he proudly participated in the S.W.A.T. and Bicycle Patrol Units. He was also a paraprofessional at Central Public Schools, where he was affectionately known as “Mr. Eric.”
Survivors are two daughters, Sarah Logan Lasiter of Austin and Abby Lasiter of Broken Arrow; his mother, Brenda Lasiter of Sallisaw; sister, Lora Coulter and husband Craig of Fort Smith; brother, Nathan Lasiter and wife Sarah of Edmond; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father. Pallbearers were Samuel Coulter, Paul Lasiter, Alex Lasiter, Nicolas Lasiter, Aidan Lasiter and Peter Cullum.
Honorary pallbearers were Chris Bailey, Rob Stewart and Brad Cullum.
